Yo dudes and dudettes
Everyone is welcome to enjoy being part of the Brojo community. Firstly, you might want to check that you align with our philosophy and ethos. We like to do things a bit differently to the others out there, so check out our philosophy (which is always adapting) to see if it is the right fit for you:
1) There is no such thing as 'right' or 'wrong'; instead we focus on helpful vs unhelpful
2) We give and receive rather than take, because we let go of trying to achieve outcomes and instead focus on the process
3) Confidence is about self-certainty, we seek to remove the need for external validation
4) We harness the power of all emotions to guide us, therefore they are all equally important and valid, and there is no such thing as a 'negative' emotion
5) Shame is the enemy of confidence, we seek at all times to become shameless
6) Being judgmental is a reflection of ourselves, not a measurement of others
7) Safety and comfort are the enemies of success
8) Honesty is the key to confidence; dishonesty is always a representation of shame
9) You only compare yourself to your past performance, not to others
10) Living by your core values is the true path to a meaningful life
11) No one can offend you; you can only be offended by your beliefs
12) We seek the truth, we look for what is real and verified, and we let go of assumptions, expectations and other fictions
13) Life is painful, we understand that there will always be pain one way or another, so we seek to choose the discomfort of living by values rather than taking the easy way out (which only leads to the suffering of regret)
14) There is no such thing as status
15) We go towards fear in order to reduce it's influence on our decision-making
16) There is always a better way of doing things, we will never find the final answer, so we keep searching
17) We prefer authenticity and quality connections over popularity
18) You are the only person who knows what is right for you, and we will encourage you to figure it out
19) External rewards like money and sex are just a surface representation of what you really want
20) The past may influence you but there is no excuse for non-value behaviour
21) You are responsible for your entire life
22) Happiness is only temporary, we instead seek a rich and meaningful variation of experience and emotion
23) We choose accepting support over relying on others
24) You are only as good as your current behaviour
25) There are no rules
